Job Description
Job Overview and Objective
To assist and work to standard operating procedures in line with the overall company policy, procedure, rules and regulations by effectively and efficiently carry out varied work load dealing with quality of new & existing stocks; monitoring, receiving and releasing raw materials; safely and efficiently moving and handling items; and equipment & storage facility is properly maintained in terms of orderliness and cleanliness in support of the company’s total objective.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead key quality and food safety objectives, goals, strategies, and measures.
- Provides guidance, interpretation, support, training and input on GMP regulations, guidelines, Company procedures and policies.
- Premixing of raw materials in line with production requirement.
- Ordering, receiving and accounting of new stocks with correct quantity and good quality has been received based on purchase order by comparing received goods with information on the delivery receipt or sales invoice.
- Prepare raw materials for daily releasing and submit daily report of stock items to the purchasing department.
- Ensure quality and food safety standards are fully implemented at company’s suppliers, warehouse staff and all employees.
- Assist in the weekly inventory of stocks (both raw materials and packaging materials) to be conducted by the purchasing department.
- Supervise receiving and unloading of delivery from suppliers on the date arranged and negotiated by the Purchasing Department and physically arrange and organize stocks them based on assigned location within and without the storage facility
- Ensure that the equipment & storage facility is properly maintained in terms of orderliness and cleanliness to avoid unwanted infestation of roaches and rodents. Likewise, to safeguard delicate and sensitive raw materials from contamination.
- Conducts a regular and thorough inspection of stocks on storage to ensure freshness and quality of raw materials for production. Any concern or defect found must be communicated immediately to the Warehouse In-Charge, Purchasing Department and to the management.
- Ensure that proper company safety and hygiene regulations are observed while on duty.
- Conduct regular weekly and monthly cycle count with the Purchasing Assistant to ensure stock availability as well as proper stocks weight is maintained at all times.
- Submits report on inventory and stocks status when required and needed by the management.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. May perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse In-charge, Purchasing Head or top management.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications
- A Bachelor or College degree in Food Technology/Nutritionist/Management or equivalent.
- Preferably with experience in warehousing, supply chain, inventory management or equivalent.
- Knowlegeable with GMP Requirements and Company Safety, Security and Health Requirement.
- Sufficient knowledge of warehouse data system or proficient in computer applications such as MS Office, Excel in particular.
Skills and other Qualities
- Team player with organizational skills, interpersonal skills, have technical aptitude, verbal and written skills.
- Keen on detail particularly in receiving and releasing of stocks based on the specification.
- Hardworking, independent disciplined and responsible.

In 1946, a bakery owned by a Chinese immigrant, Wong Tong Liong, was providing breads to the community around R. Hidalgo Street in Quiapo, Manila. The city had gone through the ravages of war and families were traumatized by the destruction.
As they rebuilt their lives and fortunes, Wong’s fresh, warm breads were among the comforts that sustained not just their physical bodies, but their hopes as well.
One day, an American serviceman arrived with a truckload of flour. He made a deal with Wong: he offered to sell all that flour to the baker; payment would be due a year later.
Wong made full use of the flour, making and selling more breads than ever before. He was able to grow his business and deliver his products to a greater number of customers. He easily paid the American serviceman the money he owed for the flour.
This initial success was what turned Wong’s humble community bakery into Bakerite, a household name and a favorite brand among Filipinos in the country and overseas.
