Unity Developer freelancer  

We are looking for a great Unity developer who is proficient with C#. The majority of the work will be on game mechanics, and API connectivity. You will be working with a team of 5 developers and will ensure that all components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the game designers and back-end (API) developers, to make things look good, work perfect and do what they should!

Responsibilities

• Applying agile development principles to build organized and versatile code.
• Writing robust code, using KISS and SOLID principles.
• Testing code (automate when useful) to ensure the quality of the completed work.
• Avoiding cumbersome solutions through diligent research, experimentation, and testing.
• Taking ownership for problems and deliver consistently high-quality solutions.
• Improving the current code base (in beta in app and play stores).
• Establishing strategy and development pipelines.
• Creating high level code design, planning and implementing game functionality.
• Identifying and fixing code errors and game bottlenecks.
• Testing game functionality and theme dynamics.
• Ensuring products conform to high industry standards.
• Designing and building game patches and upgrades.
• Review implementations for matching to coding guidelines & architecture

What you’ll bring to the team

• Fluency in Object Oriented Design and software design patterns: understanding common design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
• In-depth knowledge of Unity software and best practices (prefabs, asset bundles, organized scene hierarchy)
• Extensive experience with mobile game development.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Experience with memory and space optimization.
• Knowledge of scripting, animation, session management, and textures.
• Good troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Experience of working with RESTful API endpoints using JSON
• Being a fast learner, open to changes, and having a customer-centric attitude
• Minimum 5 years experience in C#/object oriented software development, working in a team with multiple developer
• Minimum 3 years experience with Unity, working in a team with multiple developer
• Fluency in Git
