Senior Data Analyst  

1. Job Description

• Deep interest in research and data analysis, capturing actionable insights from data
• Oversees and Supports activities of Junior Data Analysts
• Reports to Analytics Lead
• Collaborates with internal and external teams
• Initiates, designs, and facilitates activities that help clients convert their data into insights
• Manages and handles simultaneous tasks and projects, prioritize work, while remaining functional under pressure and aggressive timelines

1. Duties and Responsibilities

• Translate business needs and requirements to technical specifications
• Help clients define and refine metrics and KPIs that answer their key business questions
• Design the data pipeline, data warehouse, database, etc. for clients (with coordination with the Data Architect and Data Engineering Lead)

• Perform or provide support to data analysts for the following activities:

• Data review and validation of customer data collected
• Data profiling to identify and understand anomalies
• Data preparation for analysis and visualization/reporting
• Solutions building, testing, productionize, and deployment

• Technical document creation and update
• Knowledge sharing and/or technical training

• Create value from data by performing analytics and statistical techniques to identify insights, generate recommendations and Communicate data value to key stakeholders
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with other stakeholder groups

• Project Management

• Triage; Ensure that the project is aligned with the skillsets, direction, and availability of the team
• Allocate resources to projects or requests

• Coordinate and handle multiple, simultaneous pre-sales activities and projects
• Ensure the timely and of quality delivery and completion of projects and services

• Process Management

• Help design, implement, and keep up-to-date the processes and systems, ensuring efficient and effective implementation of all projects
• Ensure that all project and team documents are complete as this is the basis for discussions with clients

• Perform similar duties aligned with the proper execution of roles and responsibilities assigned

A. Minimum Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Applied Math, Economics, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Science, or any other related field

• (and/or) An equivalent of the same in working experience

B. Minimum Experience/Training

• At least 5 years experience as a data analyst

• Demonstrated technical and leadership skills

• Experience in report and dashboard creation, statistical/data modeling, quantitative analytics, data mining and analysis techniques

• Experience working in a data-rich environment
• Knowledge and experience of the following tools are a plus

• SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• API for report embedding

C. Competency

• Distinctive problem-solving and analytical skills combined with effective communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to convey complex concepts and solutions to all levels of an organization
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools (esp. Microsoft Excel) and G Suite
• Proficient with Implementation experience in at least one of the following tools: Tableau, Alteryx, Pentaho, and/or PowerBI (Intermediate level)

1. Working Conditions

• Main office is in Makati
• Full-time position
• 6 months probation
• Collaborate with internal and external teams
• Attend training and get certifications
• On-site activities at times
• Engage in pre-sales activities such as product demos, scoping discussion, and other presentations for different groups, from Executives to end-users
• Hold multiple hats at times (like Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Architect, Project Manager, Pre-sales)
• When needed, perform work outside of the provided schedule
• Accountable for the performance of solutions or systems designed and deployed
