Responsible for managing and overseeing software development from data gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance and support ensure availability, reliability, effectivity, integrity and security of IT systems and applications.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the CIT Application Development team.
- Manage day-to-day IT development, maintenance and support activities, ensuring that planning, end-user impact, change management, training, and quality management are properly addressed and monitored to ensure that deadlines, budgets and service and operational levels are met, and results are delivered.
- Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery.
- Maintain high standards of software quality by establishing good practices and habits.
- Ensure development teams comply with programming standards by following productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying work process improvements; implementing new technology.
- Manage the delivery of multiple simple to complex simultaneous system development projects from design through release. Collaborate with other software developers of the Company’s application providers as well as those from business partners, IT counterparts and 3rd party vendors, as maybe necessary in order to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain company business applications.
- Ensure package and deployment of releases are critically reviewed and tested prior to implementation to verify consistency and conformance with established development guidelines, policies and practices as well as industry standard guidelines.
- Deliver solutions on-time and on-budget without compromising standards for high-quality software development.
- Manage and develop IT team, work with them to plan and prioritize workloads, set objectives, conduct appraisal, and support to continually improve performance and results.
- Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software. Provide regular and effective progress updates working closely with CIT Head and
- CIT Infrastructure Manager and ensure the management of any delivery risks or issues.
- Assess opportunities for application and process improvement, rationalize, prepare documentation and share with the team members and other affected parties.
- Manage the relationship with the outsource IT service providers, vendors, partners and other IT suppliers (internal and external) and ensure their compliance to Service Level Agreements (SLA), contracts and other regulatory requirements.
- Research and evaluate software products and vendors involving proof of concept, implementation of new and existing systems, solutions and processes ensuring best in class technologies
- Conceptualize, design and implement strategic plans, policies, guidelines, procedures, best practices and standard for the software development life cycle and align with company’s strategic goals and objectives
- Support business growth by managing daily operations including timely delivery of systems development projects and ensuring IT services are efficiently delivered in accordance with the organizational strategy and information requirements.
- Participate as required on group wide information technology strategy development and implementation.
- Responsible for preparing and managing the corporate IT software development budget, assessing cost and feasibility and providing recommendation.
- Responsible for the information security by protecting confidential information from unauthorized access, ensuring the integrity of the information and information system, taking appropriate
- measures to manage security risks and following and complying with the laws, legislations and terms of contracts.
- Perform other duties as assigned, if necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
A. Minimum Education
• Graduate of Computer Science or equivalent
B. Minimum Experience/Training
• With 10 to15 years relevant experience in software and application development
• Evidence of continuous professional and personal learning and development
• Must have SAP technical and functional knowledge and implementation experience
• Familiarity, knowledge and some experience with the following is an advantage:
o Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) / Agile Methodology / SCRUM
o Project Management / People Management / Change Management
o Performance and Skills development
o Java and .Net Development
