Job Description
Support for Project Implementation
- Assist project overall implementation and monitoring, including participation in field visits;
- Provision of support in organization of events/workshops/seminars, including preparation of TORs and development of meeting notes;
- In consultation with supervisor, helping to create and maintain project database of meetings, workshops, seminars, trainings, etc;
- Assist project team to establish an effective and stakeholder’s database and update accordingly
- Assist in conducting research and analyse information on assigned topics/issues, gather information from diverse sources;
- Assist in translating and proof-reading of reports and other documents;
- Actively support the project team in their efforts towards knowledge management and knowledge networking through writing articles, case studies, and other documents;
- Assist in the preparation of project reports for donors.
Support for Communication
- Research and development of communication strategy of SDF and Biodiversity Finance (BIOFIN), in consultation with Ministry of Finance, UNDP Country Office (CO), and UNDP Regional Office;
- Produce draft report/ communication / knowledge management material to clearly reflect results of the BIOFIN and SDF project using various platform of communication (press releases, newsletters, short story, brochure, leaflet, info-graph, video, etc) for relevant stakeholders and counterparts;
- Support collecting information and preparation of materials of SDF and BIOFIN to feed into UNDP/UNDP Regional/Global website;
- Assist project team in coordination with the communication staff in Ministry of Finance and UNDP Country Office as well as UNDP Regional Office in Bangkok and BIOFIN global communication unit to complete activities.
Results/Expected Output:
- Effective support for events/workshops/seminars and other outreach initiatives;
- Project and stakeholder’s database regularly updated and maintained;
- Draft communication strategy were completed to be reviewed by supervisor and to be consulted further with the Ministry of Finance and UNDP, and implemented for SDF and BIOFIN;
- Draft communications products to be reviewed by supervisor for various platforms (press releases, newsletters, short story, brochure, leaflet, infographic, video, etc) produced for both BIOFIN and SDF projects;
- Effective support for updating social media and website content.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Enrolled in university in a relevant discipline, such as economy, communication, social, development, environment, engineering; or related field;
- Demonstrated interest and/or experience in development cooperation, environment, communication, or journalism;
- Experience in working with social media platforms would be an asset;
- Motivated to contribute towards peace and development and to serve others;
- Good interpersonal, networking and communication skills;
- Willingness to contribute and work as part of a team;
- Flexible and open to learning and new experiences;
- Respect for diversity and adaptability to other cultures, environments and living conditions;
- Fluency in spoken and written Bahasa Indonesia and English is required;
- Previous experience as a volunteer or intern would be highly regarded;
- Computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, website, social media, and others).
Financial Issues
Interns are not financially remunerated by UNDP.
All costs connected with an intern's participation in the Programme must be borne by:
a) the nominating institution, related institution or government, which may provide the required financial assistance to its students;
b) the student, who will have to obtain financing for subsistence and make his/her own arrangements for travel (including to and from the office), visas, accommodation, etc.
General Issues
Exceptionally be approved for a maximum total duration of 9 months, if the intern can demonstrate it will grant him/her an educational credit for a course
