Job Description
Supporting the company’s global sales and presales organizations, the Software Architect for Sales (Software Architect) is responsible for the design, build and on-going support of demonstration and prototype systems for presentation to clients and prospects during sales engagements. As the most senior technical expert for those systems, this role is expected to design and build demonstration systems 'from scratch', with a deep understanding of the architecture of the Verint products and the environment in which they are installed.
Minimum Qualifications
Essential Requirements :
- A degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or an equivalent third level qualification in another technical field
- Having at least 5 years of working experience in software engineering
- Fluent English verbal and writing
- Windows and/or Linux server operating systems, including command line/scripting tools
- Directory services (e.g. Microsoft Active Directory) and security
- Administration and maintenance of Enterprise level applications
- HTTP servers such as Apache and IIS, including administration, security and lockdown
- Network communication and security—network structure (LAN, WAN), protocols (TCP/IP, FTP, SMTP etc.) and communication equipment functionality (hubs, switches, routers)
- Remote connection applications and techniques such as Citrix, VMware, RDP, VNC, VPN
- Source control tools such as SVN, CVS or GIT
- Telecommunication systems – CTI, PBX, VoIP – including switches and protocols
- Troubleshooting and diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, NetMon, PerfMon, WinDBG
- Willing to learn Verint products internal framework, development tools and customization
Desirable Requirements :
- Familiar with Internationalizing application
- An interest in Usability and UI design
- JavaScript frameworks such as JQuery
- Web scripting platforms such as PHP, ASP.Net, JSP
- Java EE development
- Java EE servlet containers and application servers such as Tomcat and JBoss AS
- Developing and using WCF/REST/SOAP web services
- Telecommunication systems – CTI, PBX, VoIP – including switches and protocols
- Troubleshooting and diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, NetMon, PerfMon, WinDBG
- Graphics and video editing tools such as the Adobe Creative Suite or Final Cut Pro
- Amazon Web Services Development platform (lambda, Amazon Connect and instance administration)
