Junior Accountant | USA GAAP

The Junior Accountant is responsible for maintaining, preparing, and reconciling accounts and other financial documents based on both the Philippines and USA GAAP for starters.

Your Day-to-day

• Performs accounting cycle
• Reconcile various bank accounts by compiling and balancing financial information
• Maintains accounting records using balance sheet analysis and general ledger accounts
• Helps secure sensitive financial data by assisting other team members with database creation and maintenance
• Corrects accounting errors and posts journal entry adjustments
• Prepares fixed asset depreciation and accruals
• Updates and maintains general ledger accounts by keeping close track of accounts receivable details and control accounts
• Analyze financial information and prepare balance sheets
• Resolve account payable and receivable issues or queries
• Accurately perform daily reconciliation of cash, check and credit card transactions and tally and file invoices
• Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) of the Philippines and of the USA for all financial and accounting transactions especially for financial statements
• Assist in financial and tax audits
• Prepare income tax returns and corporate reporting requirements
• Develop monthly financial statements that include cash flow, profit and loss statements and balance sheets
• Complete end of month close procedures

Role Must-haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in accountancy
• Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) certificate is advantageous
• Must have 3 to 4 years of accounting work experience in organizations using both the Philippines and USA GAAP
• Equipped with the knowledge of both Philippines and USA Accounting Standards
• Experience in the Xero accounting software is a plus
• Critical thinker with high proficiency in mathematics
• Solid understanding of account and financial reporting principles and practices
• Advanced competency in Microsoft office
• Analytical and excellent organizational skills
• Detail-oriented
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Can work comfortably under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines
