Purpose of job: To ensure optimum availability of all MHE and Fleet service To execute PPM plans and performs diagnostic and troubleshooting/repairs
Duties and Responsibilities
Daily:
• Perform Preventive Maintenance Schedule
• Perform diagnosing and troubleshooting/repairs of all MHE and Fleet service as per SRF during unplanned/planned downtime
• Ensure the continuous availability, smooth and cost efficient running of all MHE and Fleet system at best possible efficiency
• Ensure conformance to Standard Operating Procedure, 5S, Good Housekeeping to promote safe and efficient operation of all MHE unit
• Comply company policies, rules and regulations
• Attend tool box talks with the Team to discuss Work Schedules, Priorities and Safety Precautions on every job assignment
• Conduct quality inspections on job assignment prior hand-over of the unit to the requesting Department.
Monthly:
• Submit Production Reports to FME Supervisor:
1. Submit the following reports as scheduled: a. % of PM b. % of Repaired Machine/ Service Request Summary
2. Perform inventory of used parts for disposal per Environment, Health and Safety compliance standards
Occasional Tasks:
• Actively seek out, recommend and once approved, implement opportunities for MHE improvements in performance, reliability and usability
• Provide both physical and technical support to selected engineering staff and operators/drivers as and when required.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge in:
• Standard Operating Procedure of all Processes in Motorpool and Workshop
• 5’s and Good Housekeeping Guidelines
• Basic Calibration (Injection Pump)
• Engine Overhauling (Diesel and Petrol)
• Underchasiss and Trunny repair
• Basic Electrical System (Starter, Alternator, etc.)
• Hydraulic System
• Brake System and Suspension
• Basic Oxy-Acetylene Welding
• Parts and materials handling
Skills:
• Diagnosing and Troubleshooting
