Lead Language Specialist [Filipino Linguist]  

Main Requirements:

• Native speaker of Filipino
• Adept in syntactic analysis in Filipino AND Filipino-English sentences
• Trained in phonemic and phonetic transcriptions

Optional Requirements:

• Experience in working in the field of Artificial Intelligence
• Has background in Language Translation (focusing on Filipino/Tagalog to English)

Job Description:

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and linguistically skilled candidate to lead and support language data operations.
• The role revolves in reviewing, recording, annotating, and translating Filipino and English utterances.
• Candidate should be able to generate highly effective utterances that will be used for testing.
• Experience in working in the field of Artificial Intelligence
• Has background in Language Translation (focusing on Filipino/Tagalog to English)

Job Specification:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a linguistics-related role, with demonstrated leadership skill.
• Bachelor's degree or Masters in linguistic or relevant field, with demonstrated expertise in linguistic analysis and research.
• Experience working with diverse linguistic datasets and phonetic transcriptions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Trained in phonemic and phonetic transcriptions (ipa and / or xsampa)
• Familiar with the latest trend in the Philippines
