What you will be doing:

<ul>
	<li>Participate in establishing and implementing a design system</li>
	<li>Ensure that user research and design activities align with the overall product strategy</li>
	<li>Produce and maintain digital artifacts (e.g., design/content assets, drafts, prototypes) while upholding usability and accessibility requirements</li>
	<li>Create mockups and prototypes to test concepts with stakeholders and customers, and to guide implementation by software teams</li>
	<li>Review recently implemented features and provide usability feedback</li>
	<li>Design features and interactions that integrate seamlessly into users’ workflows</li>
	<li>Evaluate alternative design options and make recommendations, considering performance, security, usability and accessibility</li>
	<li>Maintain documentation that explains design decisions (e.g., recommendations, decision logs, and future considerations)</li>
	<li>Facilitate design workshops covering visual design, information architecture, usability, and functionality</li>
	<li>Support customer and user inquiries when needed</li>
	<li>Participate in design activities and hand-offs to deliver software that meets business needs</li>
	<li>Conduct competitor analysis to ensure our products remain aligned with industry standards and trends</li>

As part of our distributed team, you are expected to:

	<li>Maintain a dedicated workspace and necessary infrastructure to operate effectively in a remote setup</li>
	<li>Schedule your work and manage expectations daily, with at least 4 hours overlap with the rest of the team</li>
	<li>Use a stable, high-quality internet connection for video conferencing, with access to a backup connection in case of outages</li>
	<li>Be available for video calls during established working hours</li>
	<li>Be able to travel to our offices for on-site work, for up to 2 weeks at a time</li>

Who you are:

<ul>
	<li>At least 3 years of experience in UX design roles, preferably in a global consumer SaaS company</li>
	<li>Can create User Interface (UI) designs and user flows using Figma</li>
	<li>Can actively participate in the UX and UI design process and contribute to the design system.</li>
	<li>Has a high-level understanding of Angular and other frontend frameworks, including their design implications and technical limitations</li>
	<li>Is motivated to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to understand problems and co-create solutions</li>
	<li>Can visualize abstract concepts and articulate how they would behave in a dynamic, interactive system over time.</li>
	<li>Can explain design concepts clearly in both business and user-centric terms, and help others understand design principles</li>
	<li>Experience in implementing UI designs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and in the telecommunications industry (e.g.,messaging, internet services), is a strong advantage</li>

Key Responsibilities:

	<li>Writes breaking stories based on information gathered from news coverage, statements and other new gathers information and produces journalistic content -- in the form of stories, images and videos -- for the Cebu Daily News Digital website and also the Inquirer website as needed.</li>
	<li>Takes photos, shoots video as required by the coverage.</li>
	<li>Posts updates on social media (e.g. tweets and Facebook Live).</li>
	<li>Cultivates sources and plans interviews for exclusive, in-depth or feature stories.</li>
	<li>Creates multimedia and interactive content (such as infographics) from time to time.</li>
	<li>Adheres to the news organization’s prescribed editorial style and the Journalists’ Code of Ethics.</li>
