First Gen Corporation (First Gen) is a leading independent power producer in the Philippines that primarily utilizes clean and indigenous fuels such as natural gas, geothermal energy from steam, hydro-electric, wind, and solar power. Key Responsibilities:

<ul>
	<li>Implement, configure, and maintain SCADA systems for industrial automation projects.</li>
	<li>Support and troubleshoot IT networking issues, including servers, workstations, and industrial networks, within the SCADA environment.</li>
	<li>Develop and maintain scripts/applications using Python, Java, and web technologies to enhance SCADA functionalities.</li>
	<li>Maintain, program, and design databases for industrial applications.</li>
	<li>Configure and integrate RTUs, PLCs, DCS, and Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) for control and monitoring.</li>
	<li>Work with Ignition SCADA, with preference for candidates holding the 8.1 IU Credential.</li>
	<li>Ensure basic cybersecurity best practices are followed in OT/IT environments.</li>
	<li>Provide technical support and be available on-call outside office hours, weekends, and holidays as required.</li>
	<li>Travel and deploy nationwide for on-site implementation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.</li>
	<li>Work with plant personnel, dispatch operations engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure reliable system performance.</li>
</ul>

Qualifications Required:

<ul>
	<li>Basic knowledge of IT networking, server/workstation troubleshooting, and system administration.</li>
	<li>Familiarity with SCADA, RTU, DCS, PLC, and IEDs.</li>
	<li>Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles for industrial control systems.</li>
	<li>Good communication skills and ability to work with different stakeholders.</li>
	<li>Willingness to be trained and stay updated on the latest technologies.</li>
	<li>Ability to travel and be deployed nationwide.</li>
	<li>Willing to work on-call during off-hours, weekends, and holidays.</li>
</ul>

 

Preferred:

<ul>
	<li>Experience with Ignition SCADA (Ignition 8.1 IU Credential is a plus).</li>
	<li>Proficiency in Python, Java, Databases and web development.</li>
	<li>Prior experience in industrial automation and control systems.</li>
</ul>

 

Educational Requirements:

<ul>
	<li>Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, or a related field.</li>
	<li>Licensed Electronics Engineer (ECE) or Electrical Engineer (EE) is preferred but not always required.</li>
