Job Description

Role Purpose

Participates in the process of elaborating and reviewing complex local & international tax planning strategies that minimize the company's tax costs & increase cash flow associated with corporate acquisitions, divestitures and other transactions.

Job Scope

1. Technical Capability

Advise management for the effective and efficient tax structure and arrangement for current and future projects
Liaise with the consultant in terms of the selection of the most appropriate method of Transfer Pricing used in the related parties projects
Assess the management strategic decision with tax point of view
Review consultant opinion on special projects
Participate in communication with principal related to the status and the progress of the projects
Building communication and coordination with the project leaders/owners
Liaise with the DGT/IPO on tax rulings proposal and process

2. Team Management

Develop and mentor team member(s) to achieve divisional objectives
Monitor and evaluate the performance of staff, make recommendations to supervisor and implement actions, such as promotions and dismissals
Provide feedback to DH/GH to work with HR team to create the succession plan for the function/ organization and attract, motivate and retain top talent to ensure alignment with the plan
In order to ensure talents are attracted, retained developed to meet organizational needs

3. External Relation

Serve as a company representative for external related functions
In order to build good network in the industry and keep up to date with new trends

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor degree in taxation/accounting/finance
Minimum 5 years experience in the related field, especially in tax planning and cross-border transaction
Have excellent knowledge of local tax regulation, Cross-border tax and OECD TPG understanding
Preferably specialized in audit/taxation or equivalent

Skills

The candidate must have good analytical skills, be detailed oriented, be able to lead multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
The position requires an individual with strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong tax technical and accounting skills, ability to communicate technical issues clearly and work effectively with all levels of personnel.
Ability to research complex tax issues and provide reasonable basis for tax positions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Powerpoint and Excel required).
Proficiency in English both oral and written
