Job Description
- Work with Product Management and management team as required throughout the organization in order to determine customers current and future technology needs.
- Oversee product development from inception to product release. Ensure that project development teams appropriately follow engineering development processes.
- Oversees all engineering activities and determine staffing needs. Recommend adjustments in staffing levels or skill sets when required.
- Ensure that product development progress, problems and risks are clearly communicated to management team.
- Provide guidance and support to engineering teams in order to ensure that unexpected development problems are solved and development risk is minimized.
- Ensure released products meet standards for features and reliability.
- Ensure that software development process follows Agile methodology.
- Investigate high priority customer problems as requested by other divisions (Marketing, Operations, Collections, Finance)
- Recommend and implement policies and procedures to ensure that engineering processes are in line with industry best practices.
- Establishes engineering budget and internal controls as required.
- Demonstrates a commitment to quality customer service with a consistent, positive, can-do attitude to both internal and external customers.
Minimum Qualifications
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- 10+ years in Engineering
- 3-5 years in Management responsibilities
- Proficient with QA Tools on both mobile and web apps
