Construction Manager  

ABOUT THE ROLE:
The position holder is responsible to ensure projects released for construction are
completed on schedule and deployed in accordance with the established project
management standards and the latest effective industry practices.

Responsibilities:

• Management and coordination of all site contractors to ensure project construction activities and the execution of work are performed and that quality, schedule, cost, safety, environmental, and owner’s requirements are met.
• Record and track project milestones to ensure installs are completed in a timely manner.
• Maintain project schedules by coordinating between subcontractors and utility planners.
• Facilitate that all construction sites are safe from mobilization.
• Assist with review of tender submissions and method statements.
• Manage change order requests made by suppliers and minimize cost impacts.
• Drive issues to closure and escalate obstacles to the immediate leader as necessary.
• Evaluate operational and technical risks at each phase of construction and ensure adequate controls are established to mitigate those risks.
• Provide site-based personnel, visitor, consultant, and vendor support coordination, including but not limited to security access, site orientation, personal protective equipment (PPE), etc. for the duration of their assignment and/or visit.
• Provide timely and accurate incident and accident reporting as required.
• Performs any other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by immediate superior consistent with the purpose of this role.

• 15 years of relevant experience in construction management, preferably with experience in civil, concreting and substations
• At least 3-5 years experience in Project Management
• Experience in running a site, preferably renewable energy (wind or solar) or power stations is preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical)
• Licensed Engineer
