Business Development Manager  

Job Mission: To lead and execute technical due diligence, feasibility analysis, and regulatory assessment of prospective business development opportunities, including, but not limited to, electric cooperatives and private distribution utilities in the Philippines and the international market, to pursue expansions, joint ventures, concessions, or acquisitions aligned with the company’s strategic growth plans.

1. Project Development

   • Conduct in-depth technical and financial due diligence of potential acquisition or partnership targets, particularly electric cooperatives and private distribution utilities.

   • Analyze the performance, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance of electric cooperatives to assess their viability for takeover or partnership.

   • Prepare and submit unsolicited proposals and bid documents for open tenders involving distribution utilities or related infrastructure projects.

   • Evaluate the feasibility of proposed business development projects from technical, commercial, and regulatory perspectives.

2. Business Development

   • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve revenue growth and market share goals.

   • Conduct market research and due diligence to identify potential M&A opportunities in the electric distribution sector.

   • Monitor regulatory and policy developments in the energy and infrastructure sectors and assess their impact on business opportunities.

3. Stakeholder Engagement

   • Build and maintain relationships with government agencies (PPP Center, DOE, NEA, LGUs), private sector partners, and other stakeholders.

   • Support strategic negotiations and partnership structuring for joint ventures, concessions, or acquisitions.

• At least 10 years’ experience in the distribution sector or a similar industry.
• 2 years of experience directly managing teams
• 1 year experience in leading projects
• Master's degree in Business Administration is an advantageBachelor's Degree in
• Electrical Engineering or any power industry related course
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge on emerging power technologies (not required but preferred)
• Knowledge on Financial Modelling
• Knowledge on Project Management
