IT Systems Analyst | ABSCBN Global  

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible in providing the information requirements and system needs of the region that he is assigned to. He supports the day to day systems applications running on the ground and helps in planning, budgeting and managing the IT infrastructure systems in their region.
Supports the Regional IT Manager in the implementation of region-specific initiatives and by carrying out the IT plans according to the systems, policies, procedures and standards designed and formulated for global implementation. He delivers the information requirements of the region in a timely manner and in the most cost effective way. He is responsible for gathering and understanding all information requirements, government regulations and all region-specific requirements that may impact the design and delivery of global information systems.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ICT Management and Governance
Account Management

• Provide inputs for account management meetings (e.g. projects, issues, cases, change requests and services rendered (including SLAs) to the Regional IT Manager
• Deliver both regular and adhoc information system requirements according to established guidelines

IT Policy and Process Development and Management

• Implement and monitor compliance to IT policies, procedures and standards
• Work with Global Solutions Delivery Group in developing detailed user procedures in relation to any application deployment and with the Global TRMO Group in relation to any infrastructure deployment
• Support the process owners in the development of detailed policies and business processes by providing inputs where technology and/or system functions can contribute to process streamlining
• Provide inputs to the development of detailed IT policies and business processes that will cater to the unique requirements of the region
• Support IT audits and implement solutions that will address any audit findings

IT Performance Management

• Gather data and prepare reports on the status of IT KPIs and SLA
• Support Global IT QPM in the implementation of systems that will help improve the delivery of IT applications and services

Planning, Budgeting and Status Reporting

• Provide inputs to the creation and delivery of regular management reports on projects, issues, cases and change requests

Automation and Process Streamlining

• Project management and change request delivery, systems development and implementation
• Work closely with Global IT in the development of training materials and in the actual conduct of user training new systems implementation projects
• Conduct user training when there are enhancements to any existing system or there are organizational changes
• Elevate application support requirements according to the defined escalation process and ensure the completion of pending items
• Lead and conduct regression testing when there are enhancements to any existing system or during new software releases

Organization and Optimization of Knowledge Assets

• Provide support in the implementation of decision support systems and lead data gathering in the region
• Promote the use of information for operational efficiency and management of the business

Network Infrastructure, Access and Security

• Ensure processing of regularly scheduled requirements of application systems and handling of adhoc requests in accordance to established guidelines
• Recommend technology solutions for work simplification and more efficient operations
• Provide first level technical support to all employees of the region

• Graduate of BS degree, preferably Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or other related field
• At least 3-5 years work experience or combined exposure on Programming, Systems Analysis and Design, Systems Implementation, Systems Administration, Technical Support and Project Management, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity
• 1-2 years work experience in broadcasting or related industries a plus
• Displays planning, leading, organizing, controlling, decision-making and resourcefulness abilities
• Working knowledge in computer systems, operating systems, database, software applications and computer networking
• Extensive knowledge on genera business processes, industry practices and standards, operational and management reporting standards
• Strong analytical skills and attention to details
• Flexibility to adapt to evert changing IT and business environment
• Command of the Filipino language is a plus
