About the Role
As the frontliner of Alune, you’re responsible for promoting Alune’s value to the farmers. You will take a role in developing relationships with new shrimp farmers partners from across Indonesia. You’ll use sales and strong interpersonal skills to expand Alune’s farmer and stakeholder network.
As a fluent Bahasa Indonesia speaker, you will be pivotal in representing the Alune brand to our partners and new clients.
Alune strives to lead the way in financing modern, precision shrimp farming and you will be directly responsible for helping us scale our impact on the industry.
This role is full of variety – here are a few things you could be working on:
- Contacting farmers by telephone to understand how we can best help them
- Write, use and amend communication scripts to simplify your and your colleague's workflow
- Understand farmers problems and offer solutions from Alune’s toolkit to support them
- Answer incoming telephone calls from potential customers
- Engage in high detail with shrimp farming and its challenges at an industry and farm level
- On-board new farmers into Alune’s value offering
- Obtain farmers’ information including names and addresses
- Use your interpersonal skills to improve and understand the reaction to your marketing and relationship management approach
- Log key data points required to improve Alune services
- Deal with complaints or doubts to safeguard Alune’s reputation
- Go the “extra mile” to meet relationship management quotas and facilitate future client partnerships
- Conduct customer and marketing surveys
- Establish, develop and maintaining positive direct business relationship with shrimp farmer's to ensure future sales
- Regular visitation to shrimp farm across Indonesia
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
Minimum Qualifications
About You
Essential:
- Have experience in sales for at least 2 years in the aquaculture related industry. Bonus point if it is in shrimp farming.
- Experience and knowledge in an aquaculture related field, shrimp farming would be a bonus
- Strong interpersonal skills with a high emotional awareness both in-person and on the telephone
- Natural interested in complexity and solving problems for others
- Have excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in English
- Skilled in negotiation and dealing with complaints
- Persistent and results-oriented
- Patient and able to handle customer rejection
- Knowledge of sales and marketing principles and strategies
