We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to join our development team. The QA Specialist will ensure the delivery of high-quality and functional web and mobile applications by performing testing, identifying issues, and documenting resolutions. This role is essential in ensuring that software products are reliable, perform efficiently, and meet both functional and business requirements.
- Manual Testing: Conduct thorough manual testing of websites, mobile applications, and internal systems based on established functional requirements, ensuring high standards of quality.
- Test Case Management: Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios to validate new features and identify regression issues.
- Bug Reporting and Issue Tracking: Identify, report, and prioritize bugs or defects with clear and actionable information using tools like Lark or similar platforms. Maintain a clean and efficient bug tracking system.
- Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to reproduce, clarify, and resolve issues effectively within the sprint cycle.
- Regression Testing: Perform regression testing after bug fixes or code changes to ensure no unintended consequences occur across the application.
- Quality Assurance and Process Improvement: Ensure applications meet quality standards and client specifications. Actively participate in the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of test results, providing detailed insights and regular updates to the QA Lead or team members on progress, blockers, and testing outcomes.
- Sprint Participation: Engage in sprint planning, sprint review meetings, and daily stand-ups to ensure smooth collaboration and alignment of QA activities with development goals.
- SDLC Alignment: Follow industry-standard SDLC practices while working closely with the development and delivery teams to ensure timely and reliable delivery of software products.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or any IT-related course.
- Familiarity with basic quality assurance concepts such as manual testing, bug tracking, and the software development life cycle.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail in testing processes.
- Good written and verbal communication skills to document issues, provide updates, and work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile, and collaborative environment while coordinating with quality assurance, development, and project teams.
- Knowledge of tools such as Postman, Lark, and basic structured query language (SQL) is an advantage.
- Experience or training in automation testing frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or other similar tools is a plus.
Additional knowledge (preferred but not required) - Familiarity with application programming interface (API) testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
- Ability to provide feedback on user interface and user experience (UI/UX) during the testing phase.
- Basic knowledge of automation frameworks such as Selenium or Playwright.
- Possession of certifications in software testing (for example, ISTQB) is an advantage.
