Job Description
We are looking for a data-savvy candidate who’s eager to learn about new things. This position will mainly revolve around machine learning or deep learning, but will also have a portion of data engineering and analysis. You will use machine learning to help us extract value from our data and lead all the processes from data collection and cleaning until deploying them to the production environment.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about artificial intelligence and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business and product teams to understand their analytical needs, and translate them into data requirements with clearly defined data metrics and definitions.
- Build dashboards and reports to visualize and interpret business data in supporting business decision-making.
- Perform in-depth analysis of DOKU business, present results to varied audiences, and translate insights to actionable recommendations.
- Understanding business objectives and developing a framework to achieve them, along with metrics to track their progress.
- Design and develop ETL processes to ingest data into the data warehouse, and transform data into data suitable for analytics needs.
- Defining the pre-processing or feature engineering to be done on a given dataset.
- Analyzing the ML algorithms that could be used to solve a given problem.
- Training and tuning their hyperparameters.
- Evaluate the errors of production and design strategies to overcome them.
- Deploying until its production.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (i.e. Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Machine learning).
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in the Data Science/Analytics field. Fresh graduates are welcome.
Skills:
- Proficiency with a Deep Learning Framework such as TensorFlow or Keras.
- Proficiency with Python and basic libraries for machine learning such as sci-kit-learn and pandas.
- Proficiency with data visualization libraries such as seaborn, matplotlib, etc.
- Proficiency with SQL and database structure.
- Proficiency with Probability and Statistics.
- Proficiency with OpenCV.
- Familiarity with at least one of the Python web frameworks (Flask, Django, etc.).
- Familiarity with Linux.
- Familiarity with Cloud Platforms such as Google Cloud Platform and Alicloud.
- Familiarity with CI/CD.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with various stakeholders.
- Able to demonstrate Critical Thinking.
- Experience with time series forecasting.
- Experience with monitoring.
- Experience with building data marts.
- Experience in data visualization tools - such as Google Data Studio, and Metabase - is a plus.
