Job Description

Project Site Engineer

Full-time | Project-based sites (Metro Manila / South / North)

At Magis, Project Site Engineers are not just technical executors.

They are trained and equipped to think, communicate, and take ownership of their projects end-to-end.

What You'll Do

  • Run day-to-day site execution for high-end residential projects
  • Translate drawings into buildable, executable work on site
  • Coordinate with foremen, trade leads, suppliers, and consultants
  • Communicate clearly with internal teams and project stakeholders
  • Monitor quality, safety, sequencing, and progress
  • Stay on top of your project’s cash flow, billables, and cost implications
  • Flag issues early and propose practical, buildable solutions
  • Document work clearly, accurately, and honestly

What We Expect

  • Licensed Civil Engineer preferred
  • Strong understanding of structural and architectural drawings
  • Actual site experience (not purely office-based)
  • Willingness to learn beyond technical scope
  • Comfortable discussing progress, costs, and implications
  • Can prioritize work without being micromanaged
  • Takes ownership of outcomes, not just tasks

What We Provide

  • Training to strengthen communication and decision-making
  • A platform to collaborate, speak up, and be heard
  • Exposure to project cash flow, billables, and real project economics
  • Support from senior engineers, architects, and managers
  • Clear expectations and honest feedback

This Role Is Not For You If:

  • You only want to follow instructions
  • You avoid conversations around cost, delays, or mistakes (accountability)
  • “Pwede na” is part of your vocabulary

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture
• PRC license preferred but not strictly required yet for junior roles
• At least 2 years of actual site-based construction experience
• Able to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEPF drawings
• Basic understanding of construction sequencing and site coordination
• Willingness to learn project controls, communication, and cost awareness
• Comfortable working on active construction sites

About Magis Group

Ending Construction Hell. Building What Matters. Magis Group exists because the construction industry is broken — and too many people inside it have learned to accept that as normal. We didn’t. In an industry defined by shortcuts, excuses, and disposable accountability, Magis was built to be the opposite. Old-school values. Modern systems. Zero tolerance for mediocrity. We build homes that architects are proud to sign, homeowners are proud to live in, and teams are proud to stand behind — years after turnover. WHO WE ARE Magis Group is a design-led construction and development group working across: • High-end residential construction • Ready-to-build architect-designed homes • Boutique, design-driven property development We deliberately limit ourselves to a small number of projects each year. This allows founder-level attention, deep technical rigor, and uncompromising execution on every site. Our projects are run by founders, engineers, architects, designers — not layers of bureaucracy. Our systems are built to surface problems early, not hide them. Our reporting is honest, even when it’s uncomfortable. We believe it is possible to be profitable, do the right thing, and still produce insanely good work. Most companies pick one. We insist on all three. OUR CULTURE (THIS IS NON-NEGOTIABLE) At Magis, culture is not a poster on the wall. It is a daily operating system. Our culture is formally written, actively taught, and collectively guarded. Every person at Magis — regardless of role or tenure — is expected to live these values in how they think, decide, and behave. We don’t expect perfection. We expect intent, accountability, and growth. What this looks like in practice: • We genuinely try to do better — in systems, craft, decisions, and ourselves • We delight our customers by showing up when it matters most, not by overpromising • We nurture real and honest relationships; candor is respect • We do not drop the ball; reliability is a form of care • We pull each other up; individual brilliance that weakens the team has no place here • We invest in self-improvement; stagnation is a risk we actively manage • We bring grit and initiative; if something needs fixing, we don’t wait to be told • We work hard with a dash of fun and weird; humanity matters • We win the right way; trust compounds, shortcuts don’t • Above all, honesty comes first — even when it’s uncomfortable These are not aspirational slogans. They are expectations. HOW WE LEAD AT MAGIS Three lenses. No guesswork. No excuses. At Magis, we believe most performance failures are leadership failures — not people failures. So we hold ourselves accountable through three simple but unforgiving lenses. Every team leader, project manager, department head, and founder is expected to look through them, in this order, before judging outcomes. Lens 1: Skills Before anything else, we ask: Did we hire people with the right skills? If not, did we train them properly and give them a fair chance to learn and apply those skills? We do not punish people for gaps we failed to address. Training, mentorship, and learning are leadership obligations here — not perks. Lens 2: Importance Skills alone are not enough. Once people are capable, we ask: Did we guide them clearly on what matters most? Good leadership helps people separate urgency from importance, and effort from impact. If priorities are unclear, misalignment is on leadership — not the team. Lens 3: Action Only after skills and importance are addressed do we arrive at the hardest lens: Given the right skills and clear priorities, are we encouraging the right actions, values, and behaviors? This is where culture lives. We actively coach people to: • Take initiative • Speak up • Act with integrity • Own outcomes • Win the right way At this point, accountability becomes real — because support and clarity were already provided. WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK HERE Magis is not for everyone. That is intentional. You will not enjoy working here if you are looking for: • A place where problems are hidden • A role where “pwede na” is acceptable • A culture where values bend under pressure You will thrive here if you want to: • Do work you can stand behind years later • Be trusted to think, decide, and own outcomes • Grow alongside people who care deeply about craft, integrity, and impact We expect ownership. We invest in people who explain why, not just what. WHY JOIN MAGIS Because building a home is the ultimate act of trust. Because construction should not ruin people’s lives. Because your work should still matter long after the project is finished. If you want an easy job, there are many options out there. If you want meaningful work, welcome.
