The Web Editor will be supporting one of our key accounts in the EMEA region - an information and analytics company specializing in scientific, technical, and medical content.
Key Accountabilities:
- Design and create new landing pages from simple briefs and with the design components available in the CMS
- Update existing pages (e.g. adding/replacing videos, images, copy, etc)
- Graphic design tasks (e.g. resizing images, creating a thumbnail form an existing file)
- Roll out changes to local sites
- Implement translations on local sites
- Test new pages and functionalities
- Other ad hoc tasks and projects
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/College Degree preferably Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent
- Preferably 1-3 years related experience specializing in IT — software or web development
- Excellent visual design skills and solid knowledge of web design and UX best practices
- Solid experience using web content management systems (CMS). SquizMatrix is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of front-end development web programming languages such as HTML and CSS.
- Knowledge of photo editing and design in Adobe Photoshop (or other).
- Good understanding of search engine optimization principles.
- Excellent attention to detail to test/review tasks before delivering.
- Strong problem-solving skills, being able to troubleshoot simple issues or find creative design solutions with the components available in the CMS.
- Be able to work with tight deadlines, e.g. delivering a new landing page in two days.
- Be able to take ownership of tasks to make decisions and act based on best practices.
