Freelance Communication Strategist Prose and Petals  

We're seeking a dynamic and driven Communication Strategist to support the development of our bookstore’s identity, both online and offline. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a creative environment with strong leadership capabilities, a passion for building a community, and a deep understanding of retail or publishing culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mentor a small team to ensure consistent brand alignment across all touchpoints.
• Work closely on brand strategies and day-to-day execution.
• Develop and execute monthly in-store programs, social media, and event activations to engage with the community.
• Coordinate between the internal team and external partners such as partnership brands, marketing initiatives, and events.
• Monitor customer feedback and brand campaign effectiveness.
• Represent the bookstore in both online presence and offline events to build a loyal reader community.

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably in PR, Marketing, or a related Communication field.
• 2-3 years of experience in a senior/managerial role or having led a team.
• Proven ability to handle both offline and online store operations.
• Strong visual sense and understanding of brand storytelling.
• Have a sense of ownership, strong leadership, and adaptability in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Excellent English skills (both oral and written)
• Familiarity or passion for the retail or publishing industry is a significant plus.
• Experience managing community-based programs or events.
• Previously worked with creative or lifestyle brands is a plus point.
