QUANTITY SURVEYOR  

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain BOQ and project cost plan

• Check quantities, quotations, unit rates and contractor claims

• Physically verify quantities and progress on site

• Compare tenders and independently source alternative contractors and suppliers

• Compare material prices/specifications and find cost-saving alternatives

• Negotiate with contractors and suppliers

• Support or directly manage material procurement when beneficial

• Control variations, committed costs, actual costs and cost-to-complete

• Continuously identify savings and value-engineering opportunities

• Maintain clear commercial documentation and trackers

Personal Profile

• Extremely honest and trustworthy — zero tolerance for kickbacks, hidden commissions or conflicts of interest

• Detail-oriented, accurate and comfortable recalculating quantities when required

• Commercially minded and naturally focused on saving project costs

• Proactive — searches for better contractors, suppliers and solutions rather than simply processing quotations

• Firm in negotiations and comfortable challenging contractors

• Organized, disciplined and able to work independently

Ideally, the candidate can also support the PM with document organization, procurement/payment/variation trackers, contractor follow-ups and basic project administration.

However, strong QS capability is the priority. Administrative skills are an additional advantage.

We are looking for a strong, independent Senior QS to control Project Quantities, Costs, Tenders and Procurement on the owner’s side.

Candidate Profile

• 7-10+ years of QS / estimation / cost control experience

• Strong construction background; hospitality / hotel experience preferred

• Able to independently prepare and verify BOQs and quantity take-offs

• Strong understanding of architectural, structural and MEP drawings

• Good knowledge of Bali / Indonesian construction prices, materials and labour rates

• Experienced in tenders, contractor comparisons, negotiations, variations and progress claims

• Able to physically verify quantities and completed works on site

• Strong Excel skills; AutoCAD/BIM knowledge is a plus

• Bahasa Indonesia essential; working English required
