Operation Manager [PT Mitra Andalan Morosi]  

What you'll be doing

• Supervise unloading processes of nickel and coal, as well as other on-site operational activities.
• Act as a liaison between clients and on-site teams to ensure effective communication and smooth operations.
• Monitor field operations and report daily updates to management.
• Identify and resolve operational issues in a timely and proactive manner.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and third parties.

About the role

As an Operational Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all field operations, particularly supervising unloading activities for nickel and coal to ensure they are carried out efficiently, safely, and on time. Your role is crucial in bridging communication between clients and field staff, ensuring that operational goals align with client expectations.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years of experience in operations or logistics management.
• Fluent in Mandarin is a must (spoken and written).
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Able to work under pressure and in dynamic field environments.
• Willing to be based in Kendari, South East Sulawesi.

Great to Have

• Prior experience working in the logistics or shipping industry.
• Familiarity with port operations and unloading procedures for bulk materials such as nickel and coal.
• Ability to speak additional languages (e.g., English, local dialects).
• Strong negotiation or client-handling experience.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance related to field operations.
