Legal and Compliance Manager  

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Legal and Compliance Manager to join our dynamic team at Seven Retail Group. As the Legal and Compliance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the company's operations are conducted in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of legal, compliance, and regulatory affairs, including liaison with government authorities, law enforcement agencies, and drafting and reviewing agreements. You will also lead the General Affairs (GA) team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Government and Regulatory Compliance:

Manage all interactions with government bodies such as Disnaker

Ensure the company is compliant with all necessary licenses, permits, and regulations for our outlets and operations.

2. Agreement Drafting and Review:

Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including vendor contracts, leases, and partnership agreements.

Ensure that legal documents are accurate, legally sound, and protect the interests of the company.

3. Leadership and Oversight:

Lead and manage the General Affairs (GA) team, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth administrative operations.

Oversee and manage the legal and compliance team, if applicable.

4. Risk Mitigation:

Identify and assess potential legal and compliance risks within the company's operations.

Develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.

5. Policy Development:

Develop and update internal company policies and procedures to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations.

Provide training and guidance to employees regarding legal and compliance matters.

Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field. A Master's degree in a relevant legal specialization is a plus.
2. A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in legal and compliance roles, with a background in regulatory affairs and government liaison.
3. Strong understanding of labor laws, business permits, and other relevant regulations in the region.
4. Excellent drafting, reviewing, and negotiation skills.
5. Strong leadership and management abilities.
6. Detail-oriented with a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
9. Familiarity with the retail or F&B industry is a plus.
