Web Methods Developer  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Programmer or Integration Specialist with Software AG products.
• Mandatory: Proficiency in webMethods Integration Server, Developer, Designer, Universal Messaging, API Gateway, and Broker.
• Strong Java programming skills (core concepts, frameworks like Spring Boot/Hibernate is a plus).
• Hands-on experience with upgrading/migrating Software AG platforms.
• Solid understanding of SOA, Microservices, REST/SOAP APIs, XML/JSON.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop ESB integration solutions using Software AG tools (webMethods Integration Server, Universal Messaging, API Gateway, etc.).
• Build, deploy, and maintain Java-based applications integrated with Software AG platforms.
• Lead upgrades and migrations of Software AG environments (planning, testing, execution).
• Participate in the full SDLC—requirement analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
• Troubleshoot and debug integration/applications issues with a focus on performance optimization.
• Collaborate with developers, operations teams, and business stakeholders to align solutions with needs.
• Create and maintain technical documentation (designs, configurations, upgrade procedures).
• Ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing systems/processes.
  

  Nice-to-Have (Optional)

• Experience with databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
• Knowledge of Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) or DevOps/CI-CD pipelines.
• Software AG certifications.
