Senior Backend Developer  

Job Overview

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and optimization of scalable and reliable backend services. You will collaborate with the frontend and DevOps teams to build APIs, manage PostgreSQL databases, and support container-based application infrastructure using Kubernetes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Build and manage backend services using Node.js.
2. Design and implement RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL APIs.
3. Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases.
4. Apply clean code practices and maintain proper documentation.
5. Write unit tests and integration tests to ensure system reliability.
6. Collaborate with the frontend team for API integration.
7. Work with the DevOps team for deployment, scaling, and monitoring using Kubernetes.

Hard Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Backend Developer.
• Proficient in Nesetjs and Express.js (or equivalent frameworks).
• Experienced in using and optimizing PostgreSQL databases (timescaledb preferably).
• Solid understanding of REST API and event-driven architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in a production environment.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub Actions or similar.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
• Good communication skills and accustomed to working in agile/scrum teams.
• Comfortable with code reviews and technical documentation.
• Experience with Redis, Kafka, or other message queue systems.
• Knowledge of security best practices and API authentication (JWT, OAuth).
• Experience working in a microservices architecture environment.
• Proficient in English (written and spoken).
