The Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer/Technical Consultant is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering technical solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (D365 BC). The role involves customizing and extending Business Central functionality, integrating the system with internal and external applications, and supporting end-to-end implementation for various clients. The consultant ensures solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives across digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Design & Development
Design and develop extensions, custom modules, and enhancements for Dynamics 365 Business Central using AL language in Visual Studio Code.
Customize standard BC functionalities according to business and client requirements.
Build efficient and reusable technical solutions aligned with industry best practices.
2. Technical Consulting & Requirements Analysis
Collaborate with business analysts, SMEs, and stakeholders to analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Recommend system improvements, architectural approaches, and configuration options based on business needs.
Conduct feasibility analysis for new features, integrations, and process improvements.
3. System Integration & API Development
Develop integrations using Business Central APIs, web services (SOAP/REST), and custom connectors.
Coordinate with internal technical teams to integrate BC with ERP components, finance systems, HRIS, CRM tools, or third-party applications.
Ensure stable, secure, and efficient data flow across systems.
4. SQL & Data Management
Work with SQL databases for data migration, reporting, and backend processes.
Execute data transformation, cleansing, and migration during implementation or upgrades.
Troubleshoot data inconsistencies and optimize query performance.
5. Implementation & Deployment
Support full lifecycle implementation—from system configuration to testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and UAT assistance.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
6. Ongoing Support & Maintenance
Provide Level 2/3 technical support for Business Central environment issues.
Troubleshoot performance issues, bugs, and configuration challenges.
Deliver system training or technical guidance to internal teams or external clients when required.
7. Collaboration & Project Delivery
Work closely with cross-functional teams across Yondu or NCS, including Delivery, PMO, QA, and Business Units.
Ensure all deliverables follow standards, timelines, and quality guidelines.
Participate in Agile ceremonies or project meetings as needed.
Kualifikasi Minimum
- Strong knowledge of AL programming and extension-based development in Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Experience with C/AL and older versions of Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a plus.
- Skilled in SQL scripting, API integration, and data migration processes.
- Understanding of Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps) is an advantage.
- Experience
- 6+ years of hands-on development experience in Dynamics 365 Business Central or NAV.
- Experience working with IT consulting companies, digital transformation teams, or ERP implementation partners (ideal for Yondu/NCS).
- Background in handling multiple client accounts or enterprise-level projects is preferred.
