Meat Category Manager  

About this Position

The Category Manager (Meat) owns and manages the end-to-end performance of the meat category, ensuring optimal product assortment, quality, and availability to meet customer demand. This role leverages data-driven insights to optimize sales, inventory, and fulfillment while maintaining strong relationships with vendors. Additionally, the position drives category growth through continuous monitoring, strategic planning, and supplier collaboration.

Job Description

As our Astronaut, your missions are:

• Manage the Meat category, ensuring alignment with customer needs, quality standards, and business objectives.
• Analyze sales performance, market trends, and demand patterns to optimize product assortment and minimize overstock or slow-moving items.
• Manage product assortment, stock, and maintain fulfillment rate
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure consistent quality, pricing, and supply reliability.
• Lead Monthly Business Reviews (MBR) with key vendors to evaluate performance and identify growth opportunities.
• Identify and onboard new products or vendors to enhance the category portfolio and meet evolving business needs.
• Maintain end-to-end ownership of category BAU operations
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Fulfillment teams to ensure seamless execution.

In order to launch the missions successfully, you need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proven experience in Category Management, Buying, Merchandising, or Procurement from fresh food, FMCG, or meat products industries.
• Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly accountable with strong ownership of responsibilities.
