Main duties and responsibilities
Air conditioning services
- Services air conditioning systems, including direct digital control building controls, pneumatic systems, cooling systems, refrigerators, and water coolers
- Conducts maintenance activities and inspections of HVAC systems
- Cleans evaporator drain pans, coils, and filters
- Lubricates fan and motor bearings
- Repairs or replaces motors, electrical wiring, belts, compressors, thermostats, and fans
- Tests equipment using instruments and gauges (e.g., volt-ohm meters) and adjusts mechanisms such as valves, pumps, and controls based on readings
- Repairs piping connections, valves, couplings, and fittings using hand tools, drill press, brazing, welding, soldering, and related methods
Plumbing services
- Installs, maintains, and repairs pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures within campus structures
- Performs welding and fitting works on high-pressure pipes and tanks
- Inspects plumbing and drainage systems inside buildings for preventive maintenance
- Coordinates plumbing tasks with contractors, electricians, and other professionals
Other tasks
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or authorized representatives

Education and experience requirements
- At least High school graduate
- Completed a course in plumbing or AC servicing, with TESDA certification
- At least 2 years of experience in plumbing and AC chiller water operations (1 year acceptable if with NC II certification)
Minimum Qualifications
Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Equipment and Motorpool Management Section Head, the AC Technician/ Plumber services job requests involving air conditioning and plumbing
equipment as assigned to him/ her. S/ he also implements maintenance activities on AC and plumbing equipment, as well as implements minor construction and construction-related work ne position is expected to implement activities that minimize disruption of services provided in facilities.
