Role Overview
At Leaf, the Graphic Designer plays a key role within the Creative team, delivering high-performing ad creatives and supporting internal brand initiatives.
This role is split across two main areas:
Creative Services (Client work) – designing high-converting ad creatives
Internal Projects – supporting marketing, brand, and company initiatives
You will act as a Creative Lead for a portfolio of clients, owning the end-to-end creative process—from research and ideation to execution and client presentation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Creative Services (Client Work)
Lead the creative execution for assigned client accounts
Translate campaign briefs into high-converting ad creatives
Conduct research & analysis:
Review performance data (e.g. Meta Ads Manager, internal reports)
Perform competitor analysis to identify opportunities
Develop creative concepts aligned with campaign objectives
Design assets using:
Figma (primary tool)
Adobe Suite (for asset preparation, motion, and video editing)
Present concepts and final creatives to:
Internal Creative team
Performance Marketing team
Clients (acting as main creative point of contact)
Manage feedback cycles and ensure timely delivery
Deliver final, approved assets ready for campaign launch
Maintain and update:
Client documentation (“Client Cards”)
Creative testing insights and learnings
Track time spent across projects
Collaborate closely with Performance Marketing to analyse results and identify opportunities
2. Internal Creative & Marketing Projects
Support internal teams (Marketing, Operations, etc.) with:
Website design
Social content
Slide decks & presentations
Video and podcast editing
Blog and brand assets
Contribute to:
Company OKRs
Process improvements
Internal branding and visual identity
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and follow defined project workflows
3. Collaboration & Communication
Work as much as possible in UK hours to be aligned with clients and team members
Manage tasks via tools like Notion, Slack, and email
Maintain clear and proactive communication with:
Creative Director
Performance Marketing team
Client

Minimum Qualifications
Skills & Experience
Creative & Technical Skills
Strong experience in graphic design tools (Figma, Adobe Suite)
Knowledge of:
Motion graphics
Video editing
Social media advertising creatives
Strong understanding of performance-driven design
Awareness of current trends in:
Digital marketing
Design and advertising
AI & Emerging Tools
Familiarity with AI-powered design tools (e.g. Midjourney, DALL·E, Adobe Firefly, Runway, etc.)
Ability to leverage AI to enhance creativity, speed, and iteration in the design process
Understanding of how AI can support:
Concept generation
Image and video production
Creative testing at scale
Curiosity and willingness to continuously explore and adopt new tools
Portfolio Requirement
A strong portfolio is required as part of the application process
Portfolio should demonstrate:
Experience creating high-performing ad creatives (preferred)
Ability to translate briefs into compelling visual concepts
Variety across formats (static, video, social, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and brand consistency
Candidates may be asked to walk through their portfolio, explaining:
Creative thinking and approach
Design decisions
Performance impact (where available)
Communication & Organisation
Strong presentation and storytelling skills
