Quality Assurance Automation Engineer – Katalon  

Job Description

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in Katalon Studio to strengthen our quality assurance process for a client in the Mining Industry. This is a contract-based role (12 months, extendable) with Work From Office (WFO) arrangement at Cilandak, South Jakarta.

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of the client’s applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Katalon Studio (Web, API, and Mobile).
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA manual testers to understand requirements and define test scenarios.
• Build and manage test frameworks for regression, functional, and performance testing.
• Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
• Identify, document, and track software defects; ensure timely resolution by working closely with development teams.
• Prepare detailed test reports and ensure test coverage aligns with requirements.
• Continuously improve testing efficiency, frameworks, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as QA Engineer in automation testing.
• Proficiency in Katalon Studio (Web UI, API, and Mobile testing).
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, integration, UAT).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
• Ability to write test cases, test plans, and defect reports clearly and systematically.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
