SAP Datasphere Lead or SAP PAPM Lead or SAP Group Reporting Lead  

Role Overview

The SAP Finance Data & Consolidation Lead is responsible for architecting and delivering the end-to-end data strategy for corporate finance. This role bridges the gap between raw ERP data and high-level executive insights by managing the integration between S/4HANA, the cloud data warehouse (Datasphere), and specialized engines for profitability analysis (PaPM) and financial consolidation (Group Reporting).

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP Datasphere (Data Architecture)

Lead the design of the Business Data Fabric, ensuring seamless data federation between S/4HANA and non-SAP sources.

Architect Data Spaces, Graphical Views, and Analytic Models to support real-time finance reporting.

Oversee the integration with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for visualization.

2. SAP Profitability and Performance Management (PaPM)

Design complex allocation engines for Product Costing, Carbon Footprinting, and Tax Calculations.

Configure functions for data collection, allocation, and iterative processing to handle high-volume cost-modeling scenarios.

Translate business profitability requirements into technical PaPM calculation chains.

3. SAP Group Reporting (Consolidation)

Lead the end-to-end financial consolidation process, including data monitor and consolidation monitor activities.

Configure Consolidation Units, Versions, and FS Items for legal and management reporting.

Manage complex requirements for Intercompany Eliminations, Currency Translation, and Equity Pick-up.

Technical Experitise :

Core Tools: Mastery of SAP Datasphere, SAP PaPM (Cloud or On-Prem), and SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting.

Data Modeling: Strong experience in SQL, CDS Views, and HANA modeling.

Integration: Expert knowledge of the Data Provisioning landscape (SDI, SDA, and OData services).

Finance Knowledge: Deep understanding of IFRS/GAAP standards, financial consolidation logic, and management accounting.

• Experience: 10+ years in SAP BI/Finance , with at least 3-4 full-cycle implementations in a leadership or architectural role.
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams (Data Engineers, Finance Functional, and Accountants)
• SAP Certified Application Associate in SAP Datasphere or SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting is highly preferred.
