Job Description
- Develop and maintain core systems on ibm i (as/400) platforms using cobol syntax and logic.
- Manage db2 relational databases, database concepts, and wrkqry (work queries).
- Utilize mainframe tools like ibm websphere mq for system integration and data flow.
- Handle development specifically within the l400/gasia core system environment.
- Apply domain expertise in core insurance products, processes, and terminology.
- Support financial ops with a focus on credit card applications and workflows.
- Perform debugging and systematic problem-solving to resolve complex technical issues
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of specific experience in COBOL/400 and CL/400.
- Proven experience with mainframe systems (IBM i) and associated software like DB2.
- Practical development experience in L400/GASIA core systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of core insurance products or credit card application systems.
