AutoScript is building next-generation AI systems for legal transcription, deposition workflows, and case analytics. We combine real-time speech recognition, LLM pipelines, and structured data extraction to transform how legal teams work with audio and transcripts.

Team

This is a role based in South Jakarta working in a new hybrid office arrangement (2-3 days per week) with international colleagues, globally distributed.

What You’ll Work On

You will ensure the reliability and quality of systems that combine:

• audio processing (ASR pipelines)
• LLM-based post-processing
• structured outputs (metadata, transcripts)
• workflow systems (job assignment, review, payments)

This role goes beyond traditional QA - you will test AI outputs, APIs, and end-to-end workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated tests for APIs and backend services
• Validate transcript outputs (ASR + LLM pipelines)
• Build regression test suites for structured outputs (JSON, tabular formats)
• Identify edge cases in:
  • speaker diarization
  • timestamps
  • formatting and punctuation
• Test workflow systems (job assignment, state transitions, payments)
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with AI and fullstack engineers to define quality standards

Application Process

Applicants will complete a technical assessment involving:

• transcript quality analysis
• test case design
• API validation

We are looking for QA engineers who can think systematically about quality - not just follow scripts.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in QA or test automation
• Experience with API testing (Postman, Playwright, Cypress, or similar)
• Basic programming skills (JavaScript/TypeScript or Python)
• Strong attention to detail and structured thinking
• Ability to design test cases and identify edge cases

Nice to Have

• Experience testing AI/ML systems or APIs
• Familiarity with JSON schema validation
• Experience with end-to-end testing frameworks
• Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, etc.)
