DevOps Engineer  

Job description:

Overview

We're looking for a DevOps engineer to own deployments, infrastructure, and production stability for a growing platform that supports merchants, payments, reporting, and AI-driven workflows.

The product is already largely functional (~75–85%). Your role is to make it safer, smoother, and easier to ship, while keeping things reliable as the system grows.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve deployment pipelines for frontend and backend services.
• Manage and harden production and staging environments.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD, release workflows, and rollback strategies.
• Implement security best practices (secrets, access, auth flows, backups).
• Support live deployments and help troubleshoot production issues.
• Work closely with developers to remove friction in shipping code.
• Improve observability (logs, metrics, alerts) without over-engineering.
• Help the platform scale as data, traffic, and AI usage increase.

Tech & Environment

• Node.js / Express applications
• TypeScript-based backend and frontend builds
• AWS (including S3 and related services)
• Authentication systems (OAuth, JWT, cookies)
• CI/CD tooling (flexible — we care more about outcomes than brand names)

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in DevOps / platform engineering.
• Strong understanding of deployment, infrastructure, and security.
• Comfortable supporting real production systems.
• Practical mindset - you know when “good enough” is actually good enough.
• Able to work independently and take ownership.
• Experience supporting AI-heavy or data-driven platforms is a plus.
