Senior Software Developer  

As a Software Developer, you will be part of a team responsible for the following:

• Develop/ create artificial intelligence and e-commerce services.
• Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks, etc.
• Reviewing current systems
• Presenting ideas for system improvements, including cost proposals
• Working closely with analysts, designers and staff
• Testing the product in controlled, real situations before going live
• Preparation of training manuals for users
• Maintaining the systems once they are up and running

• Graduate with the following courses:
  • BS Computer Science
  • BS Information Technology
  • BS Computer Engineering
  • Or any other related course
• 5+ yrs professional software development, 2+ in a senior/lead role
• Track record shipping and maintaining production systems

• Core (must-have)

• Strong REST API design & development — versioning, pagination, rate limiting, clean error contracts
• Full-stack capability — comfortable backend + frontend, understands the full request lifecycle
• Solid PostgreSQL skills — schema design, indexing, query optimization, migrations
• Cloud/infra experience (AWS preferred) — deploying, monitoring, scaling real services
• Strong engineering fundamentals — system design, testing, security basics, CI/CD, Git & code review discipline

• AI-assisted development (important for us)

• Works effectively with AI coding tools (Claude / Claude Code, Copilot, etc.) as part of daily workflow

• Language stance

• We work in TypeScript / Next.js, but we’re language-agnostic — strong engineers from Python, Go, Java, C#, etc. who ramp fast are welcome. Prior JS/TS or React/Next.js is a plus, not required.

Nice-to-have

• AWS specifics: Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, IaC (Terraform/CDK)
• Mentorship / tech leadership — sets standards, guides juniors
• Observability, performance tuning, cloud cost awareness

Soft skills

• Clear async + verbal communicator; works across product/design/ops
• Ownership mindset — takes features from ambiguity to production
• Pragmatic; balances speed vs. quality
• Knows how to prompt, guide, and review AI output — treats it as a fast junior, not a source of truth
• Can verify and take ownership of AI-generated code: catches subtle bugs, security issues, and bad patterns rather than merging blindly
• Good judgment on when to lean on AI vs. write it manually
