Job Description
Job Summary: The Benefits Specialist is responsible for: recommending, developing and improving polices, plans and processes with regard to employee benefits while assuring compliance with all regulatory requirements; and for the administration of established total rewards programs, company and statutory benefits. General responsibilities:
- Executes daily operations & administration of employee benefits (including company and statutory benefits)
- Serves as a key liaison for benefits administration. Advises employees on eligibility, coverage, and other benefits matters
- Determines employee benefit practices by benchmarking best practices; researching industry and employment trends; tracking legislation and estimating impact.
- Assists with vendor selection, contract renewals and benefits implementations and ensure implementation of agreed service agreements
- Timely enrollment / termination of employees to benefits documentation is maintained
- Recommends and documents process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes
- Oversees health and wellness & other benefits programs
- Assists in development of standard reports (hiring, attrition, cost for ongoing customer needs)
- Manages special projects as assigned; assists with design and development of new benefit plans.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Psychology, Accounting / Finance, or any related business course
- Minimum 5 years of related experience
- Experience with Developing Policies/ Processes; Orienting employes, benefits administration
- Good communication, reporting and presentation skills
- Very good project management and quality management
- Very good MS Excel and PPT skills
- Initiatve and creative thinking ability
- HR and Labor law knowledge. Understands general HR policies and practices
