About the Role: Remote US Senior Accountant

We’re looking for a tech-savvy, detail-obsessed Senior Accountant to support our U.S.-based clients — mainly in the trades and construction industries. You will be the right-hand person for business owners who rely on clean books and meaningful financial reports to drive smart decisions.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong U.S. accounting background, a QBO ProAdvisor certification, and experience managing multiple client accounts. If you love spreadsheets, job costing, and solving problems before they become issues — this is for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Communication: Manage client relationships via Zoom, chat, and email — you’ll be the go-to for all things financial.
• Full Cycle Accounting: Handle AP/AR, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, sales tax, and advanced month-end close processes.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare timely and accurate financials, clean balance sheets, and provide actionable insights.
• System Optimization: Maintain and improve cloud-based systems like QBO, and propose process improvements.
• Construction Accounting (Preferred): Job costing, WIP, deferred revenue, and margin tracking.

You’ll Succeed If You Have:

• 5+ years of accounting experience
• 1+ year of US Accounting background
• 1+ year of QuickBooks Online experience
• QBO ProAdvisor certification (preferred)
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Experience working remotely with U.S. clients
• Confidence juggling multiple client accounts
• Great communication and client service skills
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills
• Bonus: Experience in the home services or construction industries
