Product Owner  

The role:

You'll own the space between what we want to build and what our customers are asking for. Your job is to understand both well enough to make a defensible call, write it down clearly, and get it built. We're not looking for a backlog administrator or a project manager. We're looking for someone who can sit with a stakeholder describing a symptom and leave with a clear picture of the underlying process, the actual problem, and the constraints around it.

What you'll do:

• Own the backlog end-to-end - you decide what gets built next and why, and you keep the team clear on both.

• Do the business analysis - get past what people ask for to what they actually need: the process behind it, the constraints around it, the edge cases nobody mentioned.

• Design the solution. Map the business process, define the logic and the edge cases, and produce a specification the team can build from without guessing.

• Run the product rhythm. Refinement, planning, acceptance together with an international team and Dutch clients.

• Proven Product Owner experience in a software product environment where you've owned a backlog, worked directly with developers, and made the call on what gets built;
• Strong business analysis and solution design skills. This is the core of the job, not a nice-to-have;
• Clear written and spoken English. Non-negotiable, it's how we work, and you'll be in front of clients;
• Comfort with technology and a proactive default;
